Another moisturizer review! I promise, I have lots of color products to review soon, I just haven't quite gotten my act together enough to swatch and take photos yet. I'll try to have it done this week, though!
I've been using Peter Thomas Roth Max Sheer All Day Defense Moisture Lotion SPF 30 (sheesh, what a name; henceforth, it shall be PTR) for the past several days, and so far, I'm pleased with it. It doesn't absorb quite as quickly as the Boscia, but with twice the SPF, that's a concession I'm willing to make, especially since it absorbs much better than the Philosophy. In terms of oil-control and overall performance, it's pretty similar to the Boscia; it seems to cut down on my oilies a little, and it certainly doesn't contribute to them like the Philosophy did. It doesn't seem to have any scent, and it spreads and blends easily. I like that it has an airless pump to dispense, which fortunately doesn't squeeze out an absurd amount with the slightest of pressure (such a waste when that happens!), though the design isn't particularly space-efficient. I would probably recommend it over the Boscia, just because I like the higher SPF, though I think both are worth a try if you're needing a lightweight moisturizer-sunscreen for the summer. It's $42 for 1.7 oz on Sephora, or you can find a 0.5 oz one on eBay for $7 (including shipping!), the latter of which would obviously be my suggestion, especially since you don't really need that much, and the smaller size should last more than a month (though you should use sunscreen on top as well if you're going to be outside!!). Some people bought the Sephora kit with the intent to sell the individual pieces on eBay, so there's a very low likelihood you'll be getting fakes, and it's much more wallet-friendly to try the smaller sizes.
What about you? Have you tried PTR? What did you think?
