CoverGirl Outlast 3-in-1 Foundation in Ivory 805 Review and Swatches

The product in this review was provided by Ladies' Home Journal as part of the Beauty Ambassadors program. I am not being paid to review this, and I am quite sure they do not know I have a blog, but I figured since I got it (and gave them my opinion already), I should review it! I am in no way affiliated with CoverGirl, nor am I being paid to review this (duh). No links herein are affiliate links, blah blah blah. (Okay, FTC, are you happy?)

With that disclaimer out of the way, let me get to the review! I chose to receive this in the lightest shade, Ivory 805, and was frankly expecting it to be a disaster. They claim it is an "all-in-one foundation with a long-lasting formula that fuses primer, concealer, and foundation in one easy step!" and that it "provides a flawless look that lasts all day long". I used a CoverGirl foundation many years ago and it was not the greatest, and this one makes so many claims that I prepared myself to be underwhelmed on all counts. I was wrong! Though it's still not the foundation for me.

CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Soulmate and Smitten Review and Swatches

These were released last year, I think? Possibly the year before. CoverGirl touted them as being intensely moisturizing and pigmented lipsticks, and even challenged bloggers to wear nothing but Lip Perfection for a week and see if the condition of their lips improved. I hadn't ever gotten around to trying any, though, because there was always something else I wanted to try more, but a couple weeks ago I was feeling sad and decided it was the perfect time to check them out (nothing like lipstick to cheer a girl up!). I decided on two shades, Soulmate and Smitten. Soulmate is a neutral pink-berry with gold shimmer, and Smitten is a cool pink-plum cream; I had hoped that one (or both!) of them would be a good MLBB shade for me. And?

CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balm with SPF 15 in Hibiscus and Pinot Review and Swatches

CoverGirl recently came out with a new "natural" makeup line, with ~90% naturally-based ingredients.  The only product that held any appeal for me was the gloss balm, as it seemed like a great candidate for an MLBB.  Unfortunately, full-price it's $7.50 (from Rite Aid, $6.50 from Walmart/Target), which, as we learned from the Prestige Color Persist lipstick, is more than I want to pay (especially for a balm!).  Happily, though, Rite Aid had a BOGO 1/2 off for CoverGirl last week, and I had a $5 off 2 CG items, so I was able to get two of them for $6.25 total (score!).  I got two colors: Hibiscus, a cool pink, and Pinot, a shimmery brown-red.  The latter was intended for my mother (a warm redhead), and the former for both of us; what did we think?
Sorry for the bluriness, my camera thought the brick was more important than the lipsticks; Pinot on the left, Hibiscus on the right
