Greetings! My name is Amy, and I am the sole rambler here on BJB. I'm a linguistics PhD student at the University of Oregon in Eugene, I love food, bunnies, and lipstick, and I've yet to meet a sentence I didn't think would be better as a paragraph (which is a really verbose way of saying I'm verbose, whoa meta!). I'm kind of obsessive, I sometimes use this blog to ramble drunkenly or frustratedly or depressedly, I like posting pictures of flowers, and I love my mother. That's pretty much everything you need to know!
Oh, and about my skin: I have super oily, acne-prone pale skin with neutral-warm undertones. I'm almost always the lightest shade in foundation, though those often don't match. Foundations I've tried include:
Becca Radiant Skin Satin Finish in Shell: a bit too dark and yellow
Guerlain Parure de Lumiere Beige Claire 02: too yellow and too dark
MAC Matchmaster 1: a bit more too dark than Becca Shell, but close for summer, and excellent formula. I like it mixed with white foundation (and, to a lesser extent, NARS Siberia), though
MAC Pro Longwear Foundation NC 15: quite a bit too dark, too yellow, and it broke me out
Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Pink Porcelain 115: formerly excellent color match, now a bit too dark, and it slid right off my face
MUFE Mat Velvet+ Liquid Foundation 20 Ivory: too dark, too yellow, and failed at controlling oilies
Meow Sleek (1) Siamese foundation: matches my skin almost perfectly (I like it mixed with some Sleek Korat), but doesn't offer quite enough coverage
NARS Sheer Glow Siberia: too yellow and a smidge too dark, doesn't control oilies, but is adequate mixed with Matchmaster
Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Ivory 110: too pink
All products featured on this blog have been purchased by me, or received as a free sample with purchase, unless noted otherwise, and all opinions and views expressed are solely mine. In case you couldn't guess from the snark.
