Manicure Monday

Hi, y'all! Sorry I've been so MIA (I mean, even more than usual). I'll ease into posting again with a new Manicure Monday––it's been more than 2 months since my last one (wtfffff), but I've been trucking along with my NY resolution. It might go faster if I stopped buying new polishes, but...well, I'm only (a nail polish addicted) human. This isn't everything I've worn, but I'll include the rest in my next MM :)

Color Club Eternal Beauty
This is a polish I haven't already posted, in spite of having had it for, like, a year. It was part of the set gifted to me by the lovely Amanda! All the CC holos are super holographic and incredibly pigmented (this was one coat!), and really fast to dry. Unfortunately, it doesn't get along with uneven nails, and chipped on my middle fingers (both of which had lost the upper layer of nail on the tip). It's real pretty, though, and good for days I don't have much time to devote to my nails. I also want to use it with others from the line in nail art! Rainbowy holo goodness.

I decided to do complimentary nails using South Sea Pearl and Pink Pearl, as they're basically the same kind of duochrome (pink to grey-green), but reversed––SSP is green straight on (and is on my ring/taped finger) and pink at an angle, and PP is the opposite (on all other fingers, though you can't really see the difference in the pictures, sorry!). They're not exactly the same, as SSP is a bit brighter, but I still really liked the effect. I also thought they were super pretty over Modern Love's nudeness, and the taping just made it even more fun. I'm going to keep them both just so I can do this again! (For those who haven't worked much with the SH Nail Prisms, they're long discontinued and take forever to dry. But duochromes are pretty enough that I'm willing to put up with it!)

I'd only ever worn this layered before, but I decided to try it on its own, and I'm so glad I did. It doesn't really come through in pictures, but this is the most delightfully delicate, angelic, light-reflecting polish. Even though it's not opaque after 2 coats, I care not one whit––I love it. Now I wish I could find the same finish in every color, so I could have fairy nails of all the shades of the rainbow.

Orly Sparkling Garbage over Sally Hansen New Wave Blue
Another present from Amanda! Sparkling Garbage is OPI-levels of confusing as a polish name, but it's super pretty nonetheless, a beautiful sheer teal scattered holo. I haven't tried it on its own, but I want to––it's so, so sparkly and mesmerizing, and we all know how I love my sparkles, even if they're not opaque. Really beautiful!

Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Kiss over Sally Hansen Rosy Outlook
I loved Mermaid's Dream and have coveted Mermaid's Kiss since it was released last year. Finally picked it up when there was a sale. I've shown it as one coat layered over Rosy Outlook here, but I look forward to trying to wear it on its own, and sponging it on the tips, a la this mani. It's lacking the duochrome shimmer of M's Dream, but it's a beautiful polish nonetheless. YAY GLITTER.

That's it for today. I've only got, like, 15 more to go! What do you think of these? What are you wearing on your nails?
