Manicure Monday

Still truckin' along with my NY resolution! Here's some of what's been on my tips the past couple weeks.

a england St. George
Amazed I haven't reviewed this already! It's a gorgeous dark teal with subtle holo, opaque in one coat. I remember disliking the a england brush, but it was fine this time (except for my ring fingers, which both ended up with polish on the cuticle, how annoying!). I wasn't going to photograph it because my nails are super short, due to one breaking, but then I discovered I haven't featured this polish yet, so I figured it's better to have stubby photos than none at all. Now I want to try Dragon again to see if maybe it will behave better than I remember...

More Random Polish Spam

I am just about drowning in work right now, so I'm doing a cop-out post: Nail polishes that I'm too lazy to write individual reviews of! With my thoughts, if you can call them that...
China Glaze Grape Juice
Pretty purple foil. It's much warmer than it looks here, but purples make my camera freak out. I think this was 2 coats? Might have been 3, but the formula was good. Good wear, too. I ended up not liking it as much as I thought I would, because the foil is mostly silver with less pink than I was hoping for, but it's still a very pretty color.

China Glaze Magnetix at Sally's PSA

Alright, so, I haven't gotten the chance to swatch these or play around with them at all, so I have no idea if we'll get along better than Rite Aid's Pretty Woman Magnetix and I did (not), but Scrangie loved them, and I love her, so by some law, it should work out. I'm posting this now, though, because I got them for cheap and I wanted to share with y'all in case you didn't already know!

My local Sally's had most (maybe all?) the colors in stock, and through the end of March with a Sally's Card (if you don't have one, why not?! Yes, it costs $5, but then you get a $5 coupon off a future purchase, so it's actually free. And the discounts! Are amazing!) if you buy 2 CG Magnetix polishes ($5.99 each), you get the magnet (which has 3 designs) for free! So I walked away with two lovely full (0.50 oz) size magnetic polishes and 3 magnets for less than $12. (You can find them for cheaper online, but then you have to pay exorbitant shipping, which ends up costing more, plus I am morally opposed to paying lots for shipping.)

That's all. Have a lovely day!

China Glaze Ahoy! Nail Polish Review and Swatches

What's this, you say? Two posts in one day? Why yes, in honor of St. Valentine. According to Wikipedia, there were actually 14 St. Valentines, and they're not even sure if the day is named after one or the whole lot. Regardless, I'm sure they would all be honored to have two Valentine's Day (I always want to shorten that to VD, but...don't, for obvious reasons) themed beauty posts in their honor.
